PRAYER OF FAITH: HOW TO PRAY THE PRAYER OF FAITH

WHAT IS THE PRAYER OF FAITH?

The prayer of faith is making a request to God based on his word with deep conviction and settled assurance. The bible says in James 5:13;

“Is any among you afflicted? Let him pray. Is any merry, Let him sing psalms”

This scripture is telling us that we should pray when we are in trouble and sing when we are happy. We all sing praises by ourselves when we are happy and everything is working out well for us, but when we are in trouble we always don’t want to pray for ourselves, most of us start looking for a man of God to pray for us.

The bible are asking you now to pray, and when praying pray with faith. Take note of verse 14-15 of James 5, it says;

“Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the lord’;

 “And the prayer of faith shall save the sick and the Lord shall raise him up”

Take note of the underlined word. This means there is a prayer called the prayer of faith.

Therefore, if you want to change and for your prayer to produce results, you must pray the prayer of faith, it is not just prayer that produces results; it is the prayer of faith that produces results. Whenever u pray, if you want to get results ensure that your prayer is wrapped with faith.

HOW TO PRAY THE PRAYER OF FAITH [PART 1]:

KNOW THE WILL OF GOD;

“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him” – 1 John 5:14-15 (KJV)

What Paul is simply trying to say in the above scripture is that; if you pray according to God’s will, you have that confidence that your prayers will be answered.

As you learn to pray the prayer of faith it important to know that Confidence is built on knowing the will of God.

Paul concluded in verse 14 to show that we can know the will of God by saying; “And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him”. It is very important to know Gods will before you approach him and all that is explained in part two.

HOW TO PRAY THE PRAYER OF FAITH [PART 2]:

Now you know that for your prayer to be answered, it must be wrapped in faith; I want you to know there is a procedure you need to follow when you are praying the prayer of faith. If you want to get results from your prayers, you must follow the procedures.

PRAYER OF FAITH PROCEDURE ONE:

FIND SCRIPTURE IN LINE WITH YOUR REQUEST.

If you want to get results from your prayers, you have to locate the appropriate scriptures in line with your request. This is so because God will not hear any prayer that is not in line with his word.

The bible says in John 5:14; if you pray according to his will he will answer you. If you want results you have to pray according to his word. The book of Hosea 14:2 says; “Take with you the words, and turn to the lord”.

If you want your expectations to be met without delay, take the word of God and turn to him. For instance; if am sick, I don’t just start praying, oh God heal me;

No, I take his word to him and straight away, the sickness will disappear. I remind Him of his thoughts, wishes and promises to me concerning my health. I remind Him that He wished me good health;

“Beloved I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in good health, even as your soul prosper”- 3 john 2.

I go to him with His promise,

“No one living in Zion shall say I am sick- Isaiah 33:24.

I approach Him with his thoughts and promise towards and promise towards me.

“For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the lord thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you an expected end.

Then ye shall call upon me and ye shall go and pray unto me and I will harken unto you. And ye shall seek me and find me when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

And I will be found of you saith the Lord: and I will turn away your captivity and I will gather you from all nations” –Jeremiah 29:11-14

All these are scriptures I use when I want to pray for a sick person. I even use them to pray for myself though I can’t remember when last I fell sick.

Another instance is when you want to pray for a job. All you have to  locate a scripture in line with what you want the perfect scripture I have discovered and I use for that is Isaiah 3;10;

“Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings” – Isaiah 3:10 (KJV)

This scripture will land you your dream jobs… if God has said you will eat the fruit of your doing, he will also provide you a means of getting it.

God can never fail, heaven and eat shall pass away but his word shall remain true. Turn to him with his words and you will surely get results.

I know these two instances will serve you well and make you understand the message I want to pass across to you.

If you want anything, look for the perfect scripture in line with what you want and pray with. Note: Don’t just pray, pray with faith….

PRAYER OF FAITH PROCEDURE 2:

When you get the scripture, meditate on that scripture you have located and let your faith grow.

PRAYER OF FAITH PROCEDURE 3:

PRAY: Open your mouth in prayer.

Take note of this; faith is not finished until it is spoken. Once you speak with faith the action begins.

It is important for you to declare your words with faith for God to confirm it….. Take note of the underlined words in the scripture below:

“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak” – 2 Corinthians 4:13 (KJV)

PRAYER OF FAITH PROCEDURE 4:

WHEN YOU PRAY BELIEVE IT IS DONE

“Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them” – Mark 11:24 (KJV)

I have been stressing on this for the best part of this book. It is not just locating the scripture, meditating and praying that brings results.

If you don’t believe, nothing will happen. If your prayer must be answered and your request attended to without delay, you must have faith in it.

You don’t have to see it for you to know it has been done; you have to believe it, regardless of the evidence. If you don’t believe that God is able, or that He has answered you, I tell you, you will not see the result.

It will be filed and placed somewhere waiting for you to develop the required faith. Once you speak with faith, automatically there will be action, you will put your angels to work…

“And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about a hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb:

He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform” – Romans 4:19-21 (KJV)

Apostle Paul said in Ephesians 1:3; “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ”.

Take note: “God is not about to bless you, He has already blessed you, He is just waiting for you to respond to the blessings.

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who  hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light” – 1 Peter 2:9 (KJV)
